EAP – Nanotechnology Enhancer and Food Acid Etch-Proofing Sealer

Stone and Concrete Countertop Fabricators and Decorative Concrete Professionals who want to prevent food-acid etching on masonry and marble surfaces depend on EAP. They recognize the unhappiness of customers who witness the acid attack of lemons, limes, salad dressings, hot sauces, and even pickle juice and peaches. The result is an ugly white etch mark that leaves a permanent scar on the once beautifully flawless surface. Traditional sealers don’t repel the food acids the way EAP does, and epoxy and polyurethane sealers that sometimes do work look artificial or like a plastic cover. EAP molecularly bonds below the surface and forms an extremely thin, quartz-like film of protection over the surface. The finish is customizable and can appear clear, matte, or even polished or honed to the desired look. EAP forms a microscopic nanotechnology layer over the surface that is virtually impenetrable and more scratch resistant than many of the surfaces to which it is applied.

Benefits of Our Product:
It is inorganic, permanent and designed to last as long as quartz.

  • EAP stops the number one customer disappointment on stone – Food Acid Etching.
  • More scratch and stain resistant than any existing concrete or stone coating technology.
  • Graffiti Wipe-Off, Uric Acid Proof, and great for residential or commercial applications.
Why We Like EAP:
This is the world’s first single component product versatile enough to resist uric acid on bathroom floors and food acids on countertops, not to mention graffiti wipe off on expensive exteriors.

More EAP Benefits:
  • EAP enhances substrate colors of porous materials and protects them from acid etching.
  • EAP is environmentally safe, VOC compliant.
  • It is film forming and deeply penetrating to protect substrates from acid etching and virtually all types of stains on porous materials.
  • EAP uses tiny molecules (nanotechnology) to permeate into the surface of porous materials and form an extremely hard surface and a barrier against liquids.
  • Unique features of EAP:
  • It is the best performing permanent graffiti system that works, even on stucco.
  • It strengthens softer stone surfaces such as limestone, making them tougher and more resilient.
  • Three versions of EAP are available, glossy finish, matte, and a non-slip version.
  • After the product is applied, it can be dusted with atomized metals such as copper, bronze or brass to create a unique metal look that could be used for flooring, countertops wall panels or even roof tiling.
  • It has the ability to bind with color pigments to create designs involving color and metal.
  • EAP has unlimited potential, and even works as a clear coat on boat hulls and propellers to shed zebra mussels and normal barnacle adhesion.

*According to the EPA, “Volatile Organic Compounds are compounds that have a high vapor pressure and low water solubility. Many VOCs are human-made chemicals that are used and produced in the manufacture of paints, pharmaceuticals, and refrigerants. VOCs are common ground-water contaminants.”

Application of EAP:
Typically, EAP is applied to stone and tiles after installation on counters, tabletops or flooring. Following application by roller, EAP requires a 24 hour dry time. On highly polished tones like granite or marble, it then requires a fine buffing to remove any dust or airborne particles. The treated material is then grouted and breathable NANO1000 (another all green Kinloch USA product) is applied to the grout joints.

Designed for Porous Surfaces:
  • Concrete - any unpainted or uncoated
  • Stone - travertine, limestone, patios, pool, porches, countertops
  • kitchens, bathrooms, patios, porches
