The Four Seasons Hotel in Las Colinas, Texas, recently remodeled the lobby bar and installed new marble bar tops. The very expensive marble quickly became extremely etched and discolored from lemon and lime juice spills. Although only a few weeks old, the stone already looked worn and damaged. An expert team from Lasting Services and Products (Sandy Shires), using new products and techniques developed by Kinloch USA, was able to transform the damaged surfaces back to their original beauty.

The challenge was remove the existing and ineffective sealer that had failed to protect the stone from etching, in addition to finishing the job in a short shift to allow the bar to open on time the same day of the application.

Using simple preparation methods the surfaces were then treated with STONE CURE, one of Kinloch USA's latest products. This new technology is a UV light-activated acid and stain proof treatment that restores the natural color of the stone on contact. After the light rays from the field portable UV unit cured the treatment, it was polished to match the original finish of the stone when it was first installed. STONE CURE is the simple, effective solution to restore etched and stained counter top surfaces, or protect new surfaces from acid etching. It is available in matte, glossy, or a non-slip finish from experienced applicators.
